David Knoll is one of Canada's leading practitioners in the field of Aboriginal land claims and the rights of First Nations. Throughout his three decades of practice, he has placed an emphasis on representing his clients in specific, treaty land entitlement and special claims preparation and negotiations.

He frequently writes and speaks on a broad range of First Nation matters from constitutional to family, Indian Act, administrative, education, hunting and fishing, and taxation issues.

His interest in Aboriginal issues began during law school while working at the Native Law Center as a research associate. He was general counsel for the FSIN before entering in private practice with major law firms in Saskatchewan and British Columbia and eventually opening his own practice out of Surrey/White Rock. He has been at the forefront of developments in this area of the law.
